Happy Monday friends!!! I know some of you are expecting a little blizzard soon. Yikes! Sending you all warm wishes. Here is GA it is cold and gloomy…but no snow…yet.
So, I have totally been crushing on these pillows that my instafriends have been posting all over Instagram. I think most of them came from Marshall’s and TJMaxx. Avery shared her great find on her IG account a couple of days ago.
Avery shares a lot of pretty home decor pictures on her IG account @aaragonburns. She also just started a new blog where she shares details on her unique home. Sound intriguing? You should hop on over to East Egg Style to check it out!
Okay, back to the pillow!
So…you guys…I have a confession to make. One of my goals this year and for the rest of my days is to live more simply. A part of that is to spend less and therefore, bringing less into our home. So, I put myself on a monthly shopping budget.
That isn’t my confession.
My confession is that for the month of January, I met my budget by day 10. Whoa!!! I couldn’t believe how quickly it went. I could go on and on about how amazing it has been to put myself on this budget and how it has really opened up my creativity and how it has caused me to concentrate more on what I already have and how I’ve been able to complete more things around the house instead of putting them off to “go shopping”.
Wow. Was that a run-on sentence or what?
We all know I am obsessed with pompoms and so the pompom madness continues. (Insert weird mischievous laugh) I thought I would try my hand at making my own pompom pillow.
It was super easy and here is how I did it!
I picked this pillow to use that I already had…
Supplies:
Pillow
Needle (I used yarn needle)
Thread or string
Pompoms (You can see how I made mine here)
Once the needle is through the pillow you then simply tie the two strings together. I tied them into a bow so that they can easily be removed when time comes to wash the pillow.
This little project only took me ten minutes to complete. Of course, I could have made tiny poms to make one like the inspiration photo, but I just used some poms that I had left over from a previous project. I think it turned out cute! What do you think?
Thank you so much for visiting and i hope that you all have a great week!
