Instagram Collaged Letters

Hooray!!

I completed a crafty project!

It is the first one since the munchkin has joined us.  It only took me a couple of weeks to complete.  Probably should have only taken a couple of hours.  Still working on the whole “new momma” time management skills.  Who knew taking care of a baby was so time consuming?  I mean…come on…who wouldn’t want to spend all of their time playing with this guy all day long?

15 weeks oldHeart.  Melting.

Sooooo, if you haven’t noticed yet, I am a big fan of Instagram.  Love it.  It is my friend.  It’s a simple and quick way to document life and everything that I love.  I decided to make a collage of the pics from my Instagram.

Not just any old collage, but a very special collage.  A collage…wait for it…on letttteerrrs.

Say it with me now…”oooohhhh…aaaahhh”.

Forgive my dorkiness.  I blame it on sleep deprivation…still.

Instagram Collaged Letters

Tada!!

Here’s what I did…

Decided that this wall needed a little something.

Entryway

Ordered Instagram prints using Social Print Studio.  They are my fave…you should check them out!  They also have an app that makes it super easy to order straight from your phone.

Print Studio

Other supplies used:  Large cardboard letters, double sided tape, craft knife, craft cutting board, spray paint, and the Command velcro strips.

Supplies

First, I sprayed painted the sides of my letters…GOLD…duh.  Do people still say that..duh?  I don’t really.

Except for I just did.

gold spray paintSecondly, I placed my pics where I wanted them and taped them down with double-sided tape.  I started off with 48 4×4 prints and they were not enough.  I ordered some more prints, but this time in 2×2’s.  The 2×2’s fit the letters much better and I didn’t have cut as much.

Next, I flipped the letter over on top of the craft cutting board and cut off excess pics with the craft knife.

Instagram Collaged Letters

I love how they turned out and I love that I can switch out the pics easily.  We want our home to reflect us and the things that make our house a home.  This definitely adds a personal touch along with a little quirkiness.

Thanks so much for visiting!
