37 weeks pregnant

This has been the fastest 9 months.  They say that time seems to slow down in the last few months of pregnancy.  Can’t say that I agree.  Of course, I suppose it all depends on the circumstance.  Our 3rd trimester consisted of the holidays…which always flys by.  We have been dealing with a small house flood, but it was big enough to get in the way and to consume more of our time.  Fortunately, we have completed all of the first floor and have moved back in.  Still have to fix the basement though.  *sigh*  Joys of home ownership!

Arm muscles have somehow survived.

Been working like a mad lady in the nursery and all the many other little things that need to be done.  Sometimes, I have no problem staying calm about things and just going with the flow…then there are times when I feel like I just HAVE to get this or that completed.

I know that people have babies every single day, but this still feels so bizarre to me.

Crazy pants.

So excited.

AAaaaahhhhh!

Stats:

*Baby should be weighing over 6lbs and measuring 19in long head-to-toe.

*His lungs and brain are finishing up maturing.

*Total weight gained is 27lbs.

*Still not really having any cravings.  I just like food in general… :-)

*Baby still moving a lot, but the poor guy is running out of room…:-(  Hope he’s comfy!

*Head is down and he has dropped.  Woohoo!  More breathing room!  Oh…and more ice cream room too!!!

*No contractions.

*Only wearing wedding band.  Chubby little fingers can’t handle the engagement ring.

*Sleep…no bueno.  Ever since he dropped last week, I have been waking up about 3 times during the night to potty.  Our bed scene must look quiet humorous.  Let me use my amazing art skills to give you an idea…

As you can see, I am completely surrounded by pillows.  Big momma’s gotta be comfy!  Oh…and yes…Craig cuddles Bella every.single.night.

I am surprisingly comfortable for being 9 months preggers.  As long as I am not on my feet too much, then the sciatic pain is at a minimum.  Craig is ready for me to go into labor now…but I am predicting that I will go over 40 weeks.  I have absolutely nothing to base that on…it’s just a feeling.  I think he’s going to be a little guy too.  Who knows though!

I had my baby shower this month.  It was too sweet and I am very thankful for the love that was shared.

My sweet hubby collaborated with one of my besties in Florida and she came up for a surprise visit!  The best!

I realized last night that I have been so obsessed with preparing for this life changing event…like researching nursing…sleep patterns…diapers…poop…delivery…that I haven’t really stopped to think about the joys that this sweet baby is going to bring into our lives.  Until last night, I never thought to wonder about our first contact…his sweet smell…looking into his eyes…the first grasping of the finger…his first smile…his first giggle.

It’s going to be amazing you guys!

I’ve been super bad about documenting our pregnancy…thank goodness for Instagram!  It’s fun to catch some shots of the progress and share them along the way!  At least I will have these to look back on.

37 weeks pregnant

1.  Craig and I at the baby shower at 34 weeks.

2. The morning that I was finally able to take my rings off at 36 weeks.

3.  Playing on a birthing ball at our childbirth class at 36 weeks.

4.  Silhouette belly shot at 36 weeks.  Belly looks huge here doesn’t it?

5.  Finally able to start on nursery at 37 weeks.

6.  Mom putting together the crib while Bella and I took a break.  Mother’s are the best!!!

7.  Morning we received our Honest diapers.  Although we will be cloth diapering,  I decided to stock up on a few disposables just in case.  I made Craig practice.  Haha!

8.  A photobombed selfie.

That’s my update!  Who knows if I will be back for another.  I imagine if I do go over, then I probably will try to document it for my own memory box.  (Did you know that you can make a book out of your blog posts?  That is what I am hoping to do with these pregnancy posts!)

We are now praying for a safe delivery.  Craig is scared to death to see me in pain and he’s afraid that he won’t be able to help me through the process, so please keep him in your prayers.  I know that he will be fine…he is always so good at keeping me calm if I ever get all spastic…which never happens…

Wishing you all a super blessed day!

So exciting!!!! Hopefully your next update will include a beautiful, healthy, bouncing baby boy!! Just my two cents, my favorite (as in I couldn’t have survived without it) was a Moby wrap. Around $40 at Target…you can use it from day one and it’s so comfy :) good luck mama, I know you’ll do great!! XO XO

Thank you Jennifer! These are exciting times indeed! The nursery is coming along slowly but surely! Sometimes, I just go in there and sit in the glider and day dream of the days to come.
