This is probably the last of my subdued Christmas decorations. The rest of the house is out of control.
Be prepared.
Welcome to our Christmas-y dining room!
I cleaned all the clutter off the table for you guys and everything. If you spot a left over craft remnnat laying on the floor somewhere, just ignore it. Sweeping is just too much to ask for.
I even removed a random sports bra that was laying across one of the chairs.
Just kidding. It wasn’t random. I totally took it off in the middle of dinner last night. Being 30 weeks pregnant, I simply couldn’t stand it any longer. None of my bras fit anymore…maybe Santa will bring me a few. Enough about boobs. Let’s talk about deer.
They are all the rage right now huh? Antlers hanging everywhere. I grew up staring at deer heads on our walls. It made me sad. I doubt you will ever find any hanging on mine.
My little sister made fun of my cheap plastic ornaments. Thanks sis!
Sweet little Santa ornament.
I wonder what I will cook for dinner tonight?
Oh look…another deer.
I made this arrangement a few years ago. I decided to stick a few gold twigs in it this time around.
My husband hates eating dinner at the dinner table.
I’m not sure why really. The dining room table is literally 5 steps away from the couch that he prefers.
I prefer the table. I shall win this battle some day. Some…day…
Does your family eat dinner at the dining room table?
Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you are having a fantastic day!

Hi! I came over from a feature and checked out your other posts. My hubby is the same! I am too only because I want to eat dinner with him and our dining room is off the other side of our kitchen so we would be in two separate areas. I will win some day too, especially with two kids now. Nice decorations too. My dining room table is my wrapping station so it’s a hot mess right now!
Hey Megan! Thank you for stopping by! Maybe one day they will see things our way! I haven’t even started wrapping presents yet…should probably get on that…
I like your deer with the ornaments clustered around it. Looks great! I really love that vase you put together with the pine cones! I know what you mean about the deer heads on the wall…I’m not a fancier of that one either. My in-laws have several around their place and it creeps me out. Perhaps it’s ok though when they are faux
Thank you Liz! Definitely a little more comfortable around the faux ones!
It all looks so pretty! I too am a fan of deer…as long as they are fake! Then, I LOVE them! Life to the full! Melissa
Thank you Melissa and thanks for stopping by!
Very festive. Love your sideboard decor!!
Thanks Kathy!

Luisa, I sincerely hope you win the battle of the dinner table vs. couch. I don’t even want to tell you how many years it has been and I still have not won that one. It used to really bother me, but I just sort of gave in and decided that he works a really long day (he does) and has a very stressful job full of responsibilities (it’s true) so I decided that if it helped him unwind by eating his dinner in front of the tv while watching PTI (Pardon the Interruption) on ESPN, than I was going to live with it. Sure, I would prefer we all sat at the table, enjoyed the WONDERFUL meals I prepare (Hee … I actually do) together and discus our days, world events the European Central Bank, Greek economy, etc. … but …. we don’t. So I grin and bear it and just thank God I am married to a wonderful man who works so hard to provide a lovely home for us and just doesn’t see the problem with couch – eating. Haha. Oh well. I’m pulling for you though! You have such a beautiful dining room, it’s a shame not to enjoy it.
Oh, I am sure that we are not the only ones who have had this battle! You made some very good points though and I do consider those too!
Luisa, you are a hoot!! I just love you! I’m enjoying your posts!!!You make me laugh out loud!!!

Well, thank you very much Jenny!
