A Christmas Bedroom

christmas bedroom

Wellllll…I was totally going to save this post for the Friday following Thanksgiving…butttt…I just couldn’t help myself!  Sorry you guys.  The holiday spirit is within me…hehehe.

This post is for all you love-all-things-Christmas readers.  Our bedroom is all decked out for the holidays and I wanted to share it with you.  Hope you don’t mind…and if you do…see ya later alligator! *said in the nicest way possible*

christmas bedroomPlease tell me that I am not the only one who adds a little cheer to their bedroom?

Maybe, a little Christmas tree…

bedroom christmas tree…and maybe a wreath…

Every bedroom needs a little garland…

bedroom christmas decorThose twinkling lights make me so happy every night I lay myself down to sleep.

A baby Jesus…after all…he is the reason for the season.

bedroom christmas decorJust some little guys I’ve collected over the years…perhaps I shall start naming them…

bedroom christmas decorIs it all too much?

bedroom christmas decorDid I go overboard?

Don’t ask Bella…her opinion is void.

Truth be told, this bedroom has been ready for Christmas for a week or so.  This pregnant lady had to start early as she can only handle a little bit at a time.  Our Christmasfied bedroom is only the beginning of the madness!  I’ll be looking forward to sharing more!  Yaaayy!

Tell me you add a little holiday bling to your bedroom too!

I never did add Christmas to oyr bedroom since it was upstairs and noone saw it BUT in this new house I am going to do SOME. I collect Santas, have for 30 years so have ALOT and may add some in there and MAYBE a small tree. I am on our neighborhood tour of homes so have started and am having fun figuring out this new house! Love what you did, I don’t think you went over board at all!!! Have a blessed Thanksgiving too.

Thank you for commenting :-) It means alot coming from a retired floral designer! I have no good excuse for decorating our bedroom except for the fact that I just love it! I have issues… 😛 Will you be sharing your home tour on your blog?

I love it! I used to decorate every room in the house but over the years I have slowly stopped, it just became too much.

So pretty! Your tree and wreath are so lovely! I love wedding pictures in a bedroom as a reminder of the vows you made. We had our Canadian Thanksgiving back in mid October so it’s not too early for me lol. I do decorate our bedroom for Christmas but I work full time outside our home and photo taking in the late afternoon after work can sometimes be a challenge. I’ll try again this year!

    • Reply Luisa 26 November, 2013 at 7:00 am

Thank you Elizabeth! A Thanksgiving in October? That gives you plenty of time to decorate for the holidays! Lucky you!

This is beautiful-simply and elegantly. I absolutely adore your style!! One question, where is your headboard/footboard/four-post frame from? I have been looking for 5 months and thought it only existed in my imagination. Thank you so much for sharing!! Merry Christmas!!

    • Reply Luisa 29 November, 2013 at 8:13 am

Thank you for your sweet comment Rhiannon :-) The bed frame is from Haverty’s and I believe we bought it about 4 1/2 years ago. Good luck finding one for yourself!

As far as I’m concerned, there is no such thing as ‘too much’ Christmas. Especially when we’re celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, ~ Jesus. You can never have too much Jesus! I don’t recall seeing anyone pay much attention to decorating their bedroom at Christmas though, so this was a nice surprise. 😀

  • Reply pam 18 December, 2013 at 10:00 am

Oh, I forgot to mention my favorite things. 😀 I think it would have to be the twinkling garland on the head board, as well as the tiny nativity and the caroling snowmen. So pretty.
