Vintage Inspired Invitations

3 May, 2013

Meet Valen and Will.

I have been  blessed to be able to call these two lovers my friends for the last 5 years.  Well, guess what?  They are getting hitched!  Wahoo!

Guess what else?  I get to throw this lovely couple a party…a Stock the Bar Party.  This type of party is usually thrown for a house warming party and it’s purpose is to stock the person’s home bar.  However, this party is actually being thrown to help provide beverages for their actual wedding.  Great idea right?

A few weeks ago, I became passionately obsessed with making their party invitations.  Their theme is mix of glam and vintage.  Valen should have been born in Marilyn Monroe’s era…no…really.

I started off with this lovely mess…

That’s my dining room table and that was my dining room table for an entire week.

I already had some blank invitations left over from a previous project, so I just headed out to see what goodies were waiting for me at the craft stores.  This is what I ended up with…

I am in love with them.  This project is probably one of my most favorite that I have worked on.

Every single invitation was different…all 63 of them!  I think the one below was my favorite.

The two below were Valen’s favorite.  She ended up saving the one on the left for her memory box.

I pretty much just went crazy with feathers, embellishments, scrap paper, and stamps.  I designed the inside of the invitation using PicMonkey (all were unique).

Note the “Vintage Cocktail Attire” in the lower left hand corner.  How fun is that?  Valen’s idea.  I just found a cute dress at Marshall’s for $19.99…holla!

Do you love them?  Probably not nearly as much as me…

The back.

The party is in a couple of weeks and there is still much planning to be done!  I’ll let you know how it goes :-)

Thanks so much for visiting…wishing you all a happy weekend!

I love that they were all different! I made my own wedding invitations and even though I loved them, I did get a bit bored repeating the same thing 50 times! Great job.
