He Is Risen!

11 March, 2013
Have you ever wondered why the Bible states “He is risen”, instead of “He has risen”?
It’s because His resurrection was not a one time occurrence that happened long ago.
It is because Jesus Christ rose and is still alive within us today.
Everyday!

Easter is coming up and it represents the celebration of His resurrection so I decided to make an Easter cloche reflecting what Mary found on that special day.I am a caring person and sharing is caring so here we go!!Supplies:
Glue gun (of course)
Piece of cardboard (big enough to fit opening of cloche)
Adhesive moss (found mine at Michael’s)
Paint (dark) & Paint brush
Disposable cup
Scissors
White fabric scrap
Rocks (various sizes)
Cloche
Something to make sign withHmmm…that’s a long list…but I promise this is a pretty easy craft!
cups Collage
The painted cup does not have to be perfect…and you don’t have to paint the outside…I’m not really sure why I did.
Cover cup with moss.
Having fun yet?
Next, I glued some rocks to the “tomb” and placed the “burial cloth”.
cloche sign Collage
I decided to add a sign to my cloche because everyone loves signs!
Found the slate sign at Michael’s and made the words using stickers. If you come visit, this cloche will be the first thing you see as you walk through the doors!
Decided to add a cross.
Thank you so much for visiting and I wish you all a marvelous day!

Luisa, this is awesome!! I’ve never seen your site before, but I’ve pinned your cloche and I just might be a new subscriber. My only “cloche” tops are actually cheese domes and much shorter than yours, but if I use a smaller cup….
