Upcycled Tin Cans
Hiiiieeeee!
Happy hump day!!  Hope everyone is having a super day so far!
I’ve just been…oh…you know…crafting and stuff.
I’m just going to take a second and apologize to all of you guys who read my blog for my “living with Craig” stories.
I know there haven’t been many here lately…but it’s not MY fault.
I guess it’s because Craig has been…well…how do I put it?
Normal?
Ha!
Don’t you worry though…it has been awhile, so something is bound to happen sooner or later.
In the meantime, I’m just going to write about what I’m loving right now and it’s this stuff!
I’ve always been into crafting, but it seems I may be borderline obsessed with it now.
Is it a problem if I am willing to admit it?
Hmmm…
Anyhootiehoo…
(Wha??? Where do these words come from?)So, this morning I decided to make some flower vases out of some tin cans.  I drew my inspiration from Natalie at Northshore Days when she blogged about these super cure Threaded Valentine Tins and you guys…I’m a super big fan of upcycled projects.  (See Upcycled Shoeboxes.)
Seriously, how cute are these?
Valentine tins
I made some weird crockpot concoction the other night…that was clearly
tomato-y…and I decided to hang on to the tins.
(P.S. The weird concoction turned out to be tasty.)
After soaking them in water the labels came off quiet nicely.
Pulled out some random “crafty” stuff.
Ended up with these.  Kinda cute huh?
Considering it is 30 flippin’ degrees outside, there are no fresh flowers to be picked.
Thank goodness for Publix!  Love their flowers and they last fo-evah!
Just in case you don’t won’t to spend much, this is what a $4 bouquet looks like.
Not too shabby.
I’m a lover of fresh florals so I went for the 3 for $12…go big or go home!
I’m super excited about how they turned out and it was soooo easy!  It only took me 10 minutes to add the embellishments and it’s a unique, one-of-a-kind look.  The only hard part was deciding what to use to embellish the tins.
YOU CAN USE ANYTHING.
Paper of any kind, fabric, paint, buttons, ribbon, twine, burlap, stickers, yarn, felt…etc.
I really hope you like it…and try it!
For you guys who aren’t big on crafts…and I know you’re out there…this one is for you…
grumpy cat
(P.S. I sincerely hope that this meme didn’t offend any of you crafters out there.  I just have to have some fun with my obsession some times. :-))

The meme is not offensive to me – my two cats and two dogs look like this every day I pull out the craft supplies. Love the vases – especially placed on the cake stand. Very creative use of both supplies and your craftiness!

Hello!
Found your site through the Winter Blues Wednesday link party. I LOVE this idea. I’ve seen lots of recycling crafts for tin cans, but putting a few of them together with the flowers (and decorating each one a little different, but still matching) is just adorable and totally takes the cake! I pinned you and would like to feature you in my Happy Things Thursday round up tomorrow!
Definitely your newest follower here!
