Happy Monday my friends!  I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend.
Did you all do anything exciting?  I had a lot of fun cleaning the house.  Woohoo!
Pshhh…

Who am I kidding?  My house looks like a tornado hit it.  I mean…
who has time to clean when there are clearly more important things to be done…like this project?
Actually, my weekend was pretty awesome.

I got to spend a lot of quality time with some very good friends and of course, the weekend means extra time with my one and only! (hubbs)
At least this weekend I didn’t get locked out of my hotel room… wearing nothing but my VS jammies…
all while a Ruff Ryder’s convention was going on in the lobby.
That was a tough pickle to get out of.

Nope…this weekend’s adventures involved riding a mechanical bull and the hubbs getting tripped purposely by a stranger on the dance floor.  Yep…he fell flat on the floor.
Poor guy.
Aaaannnnddd…
I was able to complete this project which is something I’ve been planning to do for a long time.

I have mentioned before that I am a big fan of Instagram.
I found a site online that prints your Instagram photos.  It’s calledPrintstagram and it’s all kinds of awesome.  The pictures are printed on really durable cardstock and the quality is pretty fantastic.
I’m pretty sure you can print your own photos using your own printer.
I don’t know how.
Google it.
That’s my answer to all questions.
Picture

I bought my frame from Hobby Lobby at 50% off.
People!
Never buy anything at Hobby Lobby at full price.
They always rotate their sales on a weekly basis.  So, if you see something you like at regular price just be patient and get it at sale price.
Back to the frame.
I cut a piece of cardboard to fit snuggly in the frame.  I just placed the frame over the cardboard and traced it, then cut it.
Picture

After searching high and low I finally found the fabric I had in mind. It’s a pretty low key design.  I originally picked out a fun colorful Ikat design, but quickly found that there was too much going on once the pics were added.
I cut the fabric big enough to wrap around the cardboard.
Picture

Pulling the fabric tight, I hot glued it to the cardboard.
Folding it at the corners like a present.
Picture

Cardboard all wrapped up!

Next, I added my ribbon.  This step is not really needed as it’s only function is for aesthetics.
Picture

Basically, I wrapped the ribbon around the cardboard and hot glued it.  I’m not much of a perfectionist.  I just played around with the ribbon and photos to decide the layout.  Plus…I couldn’t find my ruler so I just eyed it…and hoped for the best.
Can you guess how I attached the little clips?
Hot glue!!
(BTW-found the clips at Hob Lob)
Before I attached the cardboard to the frame, I had to add the hanging hardware.
Picture

Once the hardware was in place, I stuffed the finished cardboard into the frame.  I say “stuffed” because it was a tight squeeze.  It was so snug that I didn’t even have do anything to keep the cardboard from falling out.
Final steps, adding my photos and hanging the frame!

What do you think?
I’m kinda diggin’ it.
Love how it’s going to be super easy to exchange the photos out.
I strategically placed it where my guests will be able to enjoy it…
…while walking to the potty room.
This is another one of those projects that you can take and make it your own and I hope that you do!
Or maybe you already have?
I’d love to hear about your thoughts on unique ways to display photos.
Until next time!

Visiting from BNOTP. Love this! And the lacy ribbon really adds to it, I think. Thanks for sharing.
